Win $2,000 and publication in Good Housekeeping and Shebooks!

Do you have a memoir about your mom, your life as a mom, or a mom you've known tucked in a drawer? Time to pull it out: Good Housekeeping and Shebooks, a new e-book publisher of great stories by and for women, are sponsoring a nonfiction writing contest. Winner receives $2,000 and possible publication in Good Housekeeping and Shebooks.

What we’re looking for

Your story must be nonfiction, not previously published or a finalist for any other writing prize or award. To be considered, the memoir must be between 3,000 and 7,500 words. Judges will be considering submissions on the basis of their adherence to the theme (Every Mother Has a Story), originality of the story, and the quality of the writing. We’re looking for a memoir that the reader won’t want to put down!

Enter Your Story Between October 15 and December 15: All entrants will receive a free two-month subscription to Shebooks
